Study Tour to the school playgrounds of Berlin

Berlin probably has the most amazing school playgrounds anywhere, driven by a strong belief in the importance of good external environments for children’s wellbeing and learning. You can get a feel for these amazing spaces by looking at the case studies and images here.

Following a successful study tour to Berlin last June, Grounds for Learning is hoping to run another tour in June 2013, provisionally from 12th – 15th June. More details here.
20 participants from the June 2012 tour have taken forward practical initiatives across Scotland to improve school and early years outdoor spaces following the visit.
